Health Care Promoters

It is also the desire of our hearts for everyone to contribute to the betterment of their community, that they are willing to serve others with the many gifts God has given them.

This is why we have developed the Health Care Promoters Project. The purpose of this project is to train people who can provide medical attention to their communities when far from a hospital or health care center. Health Care Promoters learn to take pulse and temperature, how to inject and diagnose common diseases.

Youth and adults that wish to help get trained as Health Care Promoters. They participate in  workshops provided by doctors who work at Fundacion La Mision. The support material they use is a book called “Where there is no doctor”, which is a guide for each Promoter to have in case of any emergency.
